You have presided over all of the fascinating artifacts of the nation’s history, culture, and kitsch — and its $34 million budget, plus the renewal of the museum’s large West Exhibition Wing — since July 2012. What is the Smithsonian doing to help people, especially kids, become more interested in American history?
